Introduction

Terrestrial microwave link is a communications system that uses a beam of radio waves in the microwave frequency range to transmit information between two stations via line-of-sight1. This link operates by transmitting the frequency to Microwave Station 1 or 2 and receive the frequency from Microwave Station 2 or 1 at the same time (vice versa).

The purpose of this terrestrial microwave link is to carry high capacity data (telephony, internet, video and image).

Note 1 :
Line of sight means a clear path or direct path between two stations where the transmission of signal is not obstructed by any object.
